Squeak is a main character in Peep and the Big Wide World.

Appearance[]

Squeak is a mouse with an oval shaped light pink body that is surrounded by a black outline. Squeak has two triangle shaped ears on the top of her head that are a darker shade of pink and are also surrounded by a black outline. Squeak has a long, thin black tail coming from her back and a cylindrical black nose on her face. Also on Squeak's face, a short distance from her nose, are several black lines that suggest whiskers.

Personality[]

Squeak is very alert and is a worrywart (a fact she admits herself). She even acts hypocritical sometimes, as seen in the episode All Fall Down where she goes out to look for nuts despite agreeing that it was dangerous to go out.

She is anxious about owls.

Information[]

Squeak first appeared in the episode Quack's Tracks and lives in a hole in the ground which is covered by a brick. She always comes up when she hears or sees something dangerous. She really dislikes leaves and often has Peep, Quack, and Chirp remove them. When Squeak walks, she goes onto all fours and crawls across the ground with her tail twitching. Squeak is afraid of Hoot and will often hide behind things to avoid Hoot's sight, possibly because owls eat mice.

Major appearances[]

All Fall Down[]

Squeak, near the beginning of the episode, was in her brick covered in leaves while Peep, Chirp, and Quack were playing in it. She ordered the birds to get rid of them and soon after told them that the sky or the sun was going to fall down because leaves were. Squeak is seen later in the episode when Peep was going to tell her that it was safe to be out, but Squeak was already outside searching for nuts. When Peep asked her why she said that she was a worrywart.

Birds of a Feather[]

Squeak appeared when Peep was too tired to look for the rightful owner of the feather. She took them to her brick, when Quack left, and told Peep and Chirp that the feather belonged to an enormous bird who lived in an enormous tree in the Deep Dark Woods. Peep and Chirp left to meet the bird, who turned out to be Hoot. Squeak is seen at the end of the episode seeing Peep and Chirp with Hoot while repeating "oh my, oh my."

A Delicate Balance[]

Squeak helped balance the seesaw by adding to the combined weights of Peep and Chirp. When Quack still turned out to be heavier she, Peep, and Chirp gathered some rocks and pebbles.

Faster Than a Duck[]

Squeak competed in Peep's race. She was first seen nodding when Peep was at her brick, likely asking her what a fair race would have. When the orange rabbit ran the wrong way when she got to the hill, Squeak was seen behind the squirrel and Beaver Boy, but in front of the ant, Quack, Chirp, and Newton. She is later seen on a seesaw with the other animals and falls and gets stuck in the dirt, but quickly pulls herself out before finally getting to Quack's pond, where the race ends.

Who Stole the Big Wide World?[]

About midway through the episode, Squeak appeared and told Peep, Chirp, and Quack about an emergency. She led Peep, Chirp, and Quack through the fog, and the emergency turned out to be a leaf on her brick.

Minor appearances[]

  • Quack's Tracks - When Peep and Chirp investigated about some footprints, Squeak ran into the shot leaving her own footprints in the snow. After she left, Peep took a look at them and said "not a mouse either".
  • One Duck Two Many - Squeak greets Quack as "Plurp" right after a rabbit does the same.
  • Stick With Me - When Quack landed on the ground, Squeak appeared from her brick asking if it was an earthquake. Chirp assured her, saying that it was just a duck. Squeak nodded and went back into her brick. Peep asked Squeak if she saw a dandelion seed go by, but she said no.
  • Bedtime Story (cameo) - Squeak appeared in Quack's story.
