Expanded summary[]

The episode starts with two leaves floating down a stream. Peep and Chirp are using them in a race. After deciding to use different looking leaves in their next race, Peep and Chirp hear singing and find out it is coming from a pink duck. After Peep and Chirp say their names, the pink duck says her name is Quack which surprises them. When the Pink Quack asks if there is a pond where she can rest for the night, Chirp points to Quack's pond so the Pink Quack goes there. Quack is singing in his pond when he notices the Pink Quack eating his popcorn.

Peep and Chirp arrive and introduce the ducks which makes them angry about having the same name. After Peep says it's amazing to see two ducks in the same pond, Pink Quack says Quack is not a duck. Instead, he is a squink and not a duck. Quack claims he's a duck by showing his feathers, but Pink Quack asks if Peep and Chirp are ducks as well. Quack then swims around, and a fish jumps by, making Pink Quack think he is a fish. Quack then claims Pink Quack is not a duck, since her feathers are pink. Peep tries to say that they are both ducks, but the two ducks disagree and angrily stare at each other instead. So Peep and Chirp decides to leave them and let them settle the disagreement by their own.

When night comes, the Pink Quack stays in Quack's pond. Quack doesn't like this. Pink Quack takes up Quack's normal spot for sleeping, gargles loudly, nibbles her feathers, and sings "Good Night" like a soprano opera singer. She then snores very loudly, that Quack goes underwater.

The next day, Quack is at Peep's can telling Peep and Chirp that he believes that the Pink Quack is not a duck, as he's a duck, and they have nothing in common. He claims she has a silly looking hat, and takes up a lot of space. She even sneezes on everyone. Peep and Chirp decide to compare the two ducks. First, they compare their feet which are the same shape. Next, they compare their beaks which are the same shape. Then, they compare the way they walk which is the same, even if the Pink Quack says it's completely different.

After comparing the ducks, Peep and Chirp announce that they are the same thing. The ducks don't believe this. The Pink Quack gives Quack a new name: Plurp. When Quack says that you can't give someone a new name, Chirp says she isn't sure if Quack can stop the Pink Quack. The Pink Quack sings about ducks and says goodbye before leaving. The episode ends with Peep, Chirp and Quack watching the Pink Quack leaving with Quack saying that they will see about that before fading to black.

Trivia[]

  • When Quack first appears in the episode he is singing his "Underwater Song" from Finding Time.
  • In One Duck Two Many the narrator refers to the events of this episode as "yesterday", implying that the events of Quack Quack happened one day before the events of One Duck Two Many.
  • Oddly, when Quack said "Just look at these feathers!", the viewer doesn't see any of his feathers.
  • Strangely, in other episodes, Quack is shown to want to see other ducks, as he claims nothing is better than ducks, but in this episode, he doesn't seem to like to see another duck. It is possible that it is her attitude towards him that caused that to happen.
