Expanded summary[]

The episode begins with Peep sleeping, then when he wakes up, he runs out of his can and cheers that it is a nice sunny day, until he started sweating. It turns out to be a hot sunny day.

Peep walks to Chirp's Bush, and Chirp is also sweating as well. She was still hot even after falling down from her branch.

Peep and Chirp then walk to Quack's Pond. Quack looks happy and not hot at all since he has a pond to swim in. Quack asked Peep and Chirp if it isn't a beautiful sunny day. Chirp says it's too hot to do anything. Quack soon realises that he has a pond, and that Peep and Chirp aren't ducks who could swim. Quack swims around joyfully, when Chirp asked Quack if he said his pond is nice and cool, which all of the animals that were hot heard. When Quack said "yeah", all the animals are seen at Quack's Pond. They all jump into the pond, and Quack tries to get them all to leave, but they can't hear him. Peep says he knows another place he could swim in. Before Quack left, he told the animals that he wants his pond to be back to normal when he returns.

Quack goes into the river Peep brought him to. Chirp looks very hot, and Quack says that she should be happy, as she wished it would always be very hot. Chirp insisted that she never did, but soon remembered that time. Chirp then feels cooler when she thought about snow. Quack thought about snow ducks, making Peep feel cooler. Quack wanted to build a snow duck to feel cooler, but there is no snow.

Peep sees Beaver Boy making something interesting, and walks towards him. Beaver Boy tells Peep that it is mud that his parents are using to build the dam. He then shows how mud is made.

Peep then brings Chirp and Quack to a dirt patch to show them how mud is made using a hose. Peep explained that when he mixes a leaf in water, he gets a wet leaf. But when he mixes dirt in water, he gets mud. Chirp then rolls some mud into a ball. When Quack couldn't roll a ball on his side of the mud, Peep finds out adding too much water makes mud even more different. So they mix up all the dirt with water to make mud. They start playing in the mud, and Chirp realises that mud reminds her of dirty, filthy, grimy, brown snow, so they decide that they could make a dirty filthy grimy brown snow duck. So they build a snow duck, and also a snow Peep and Snow Chirp as well.

After playing in the mud, Peep and Quack wash the mud off using the hose. Quack then gets Chirp all wet, however, she didn't mind as she claims it was the best cold winter day she ever had.
