Major appearances[]

Quack's Tracks[]

Three logs appear in the episode. First a log appears near Peep's can. This log isn't hollow. Next when Peep and Chirp are searching for who made a set of footprints they lead to a hollow log which makes Peep think the footprints are "logprints" until Tom pops out of it and asks "Who woke me up?!" Peep crosses another non-hollow log on a creek near the end of the episode to find Quack, building a snow duck.

Stuck Duck[]

A log first appears in the episode when Peep and Quack are playing follow-the-leader. Peep goes into the log and out of it only to find he lost a whole duck. He finds Quack in the log and Chirp soon hops by, asking Peep why he's talking to a log until Quack asks if Chirp is there, prompting Chirp to gasp and exclaim "Talking log!" at it. After realizing that Quack is inside of it Peep and Chirp first try to rescue Quack by each grabbing a leg and pulling him out.

Then they try pushing until Orange Rabbit hops by and says that one bird has to push and one bird pulls. A squirrel sees this and tries stomping on the log to get Quack out the way he got acorns and Quack becomes upside down when he rolls down a hill but is still stuck in the log. A frog suggests spraying water on him and Peep and Chirp spit on him with water from a nearby river. The orange rabbit tries spraying him with water by a bucket but it still doesn't work. Eventually all the animals leave except for Peep and Chirp.

Near the end of the day Peep and Chirp are still with Quack until he yawns and becomes slightly unstuck. Chirp tries telling Quack "well, yawn!" and when Peep yawns Quack yawns too. Realizing this is their chance Peep and Chirp go to each of the log's ends and try pushing and pulling him out, and Quack finally becomes unstuck.

Falling Feathers[]

One of Quack's ideas to help him stop losing his feathers was for Peep and Chirp to let him stay in a log, bring him water, and feed him acorns five times a day. Quack stays in this log until Skunk appears and says that this log is his. They fight over the log until it rolls down a hill and Skunk leaves.

Minor appearances[]

  • Night Light - The dragonfly flies through a log in the middle of a cloudy night.
  • Meeting Half-way - When Peep pretended to be Newton and Chirp pretended to be Willow, they met at a hollow log.
  • Give Me A Call - A log was one of the places Peep, Chirp, and Quack searched for the sound in. It was also seen in the shot of the main location of the Big Wide World.
  • Bringing Spring - Quack decided to play his game "Bring Spring" outside of a log that happened to have Skunk in it.

Trivia[]

  • It is stated in Falling Feathers that Skunk left his log in the episode because it smelled like duck in there.
